1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Gree Web Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Steply mobile application (“Steply” or “the App”). By downloading, installing, or using Steply, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the App and uninstall it.
2. License to Use Steply
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Steply on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the app store from which you obtained it (Google Play or the Apple App Store). Steply is licensed, not sold.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the App.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Interfere with the App’s security or operation.
4. Health & Safety Disclaimer
- Consult a physician or qualified health professional before starting any new exercise program or if you have any health concerns.
- Stay aware of your surroundings. Do not look at your phone while walking near traffic or in other unsafe situations.
- Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or discomfort.
5. Accuracy of Step Counts & Estimates
Step counts are provided by your device’s motion sensors and operating system services (Google Play services on Android, Core Motion on iOS). Their accuracy depends on your device model, where you carry it, and how you move. Distance, calories, and active time are estimates calculated from your step count and the personal information you enter.
Steps taken before Steply was installed, while the Physical Activity or Motion & Fitness permission was disabled, or beyond the history period your operating system keeps may not be available. Results are provided for informational purposes only and may differ from other apps or devices.
6. Your Data
Your step history and settings are stored on your device and remain under your control. You are responsible for your device and its backups. Using Reset Data or uninstalling the App permanently deletes Steply’s stored data, and we cannot recover it. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Steply sends the reminders and goal alerts you enable. Delivery times may vary because of battery optimisation and operating system rules, and notifications may not be delivered if permissions are revoked. You can change or disable them at any time.
8. Third-Party Services
Steply relies on services provided by third parties, including Google Play services, Google Fonts, Apple Core Motion, and the app stores. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or practices.
9. Intellectual Property
Steply, including its name, logo, design, graphics, and software, is owned by Gree Web Solutions and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you. Third-party components are used under their respective licenses.
10. Updates & Availability
We may release updates that add, change, or remove features, and some updates may be required to keep using the App. We may suspend or discontinue Steply at any time. Because Steply stores data on your device, existing data remains on your device unless you delete it.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steply is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that step counts will be accurate on every device.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gree Web Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, health outcome, or loss of data arising from your use of or inability to use Steply. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it (Steply is currently free). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
13. Termination
You may stop using Steply at any time by uninstalling it. Your license ends automatically if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.
14. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded Steply from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Gree Web Solutions only, not Apple, and that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use Steply after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gree Web Solutions is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
